Are the LH series water proof with the caps off? Like if i used it on a hunting rifle and just left the elevation cap off would that be ok?
Yes they are waterproof with the caps off, that said many that use them for hunting keep the windage on and sometimes the elevation once zero'd as most hunting is done in 200 yrds or less for most hunters but the open turrets are waterproof.
